Bharat Mandir is about half a kilometer from the famous river bank of the city. It is considered the oldest temple in Rishikesh.
The statue of Lord Narayana (Vishnu), set in the temple, is of black stone, which is composed of a piece of saligram. On every Basant Panchami, the idol of Lord Bharat is carried out in a holy procession, for a dip in the holy Ganga river. A large number of people participate in this procession. The holy records of Bharat Mandir can be found in the ancient text of the Hindus. It is said that the temple which is now standing is actually a renovated image of the original temple, which was destroyed by a gun Tamor. Bharat Mandir is an ideal destination for those tourists who have visited the ancient religious monuments and historical facts.
Visit the Kunjapuri temple on the Himalayas where the Ganga River flows below. On a five-mile journey, along with the local villages and fields. The temple is a renowned Shakti Peeth where the upper portion of burnt Sati falls.

4 km from Rishikesh railway station and 2 km from Lakshman Jhula; Ram Jhula is an iron suspension bridge on the Ganga River located in Rishikesh. Ram Jhula was constructed in 1986 with the help of Shivanand Ashram. Earlier it was hanging jute Rope Bridge without any pillar. Although similar in design, this bridge is bigger than Lakshman Jhula. It is a pedestrian bridge with a length of 750 feet (230 meters), which is also used for two wheels. Many famous ashrams are also situated in the Ram Jhula like Yoga Niketan, Parmarth Niketan, Geeta Bhawan, Swargashram. There are many shops available on both sides of the bridge, which sell precious and semi-precious stones, clothes and so on.
Parmarth Niketan is 15 km from Rishikesh Railway Station. It is the place where International Yoga Festival held every year in February and thousands of people from different countries participates in this festival.
The ashram was established in 1942 by Swami Shukdevandanandji Maharaj (1901-1965). It is the headquarters of Swami Shukdevand Trust, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to religion, spirituality, and culture. There is an amazing 14 feet Shiva statue on the banks of Ganga. This Ashram is famous for its Havan and Ganga Aarti, which happens in the morning and evening in Parmarth Ghat. The ashram also provides accommodation to the visitors. It is the largest ashram in Rishikesh with more than 1000 rooms.
